The 2000 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Antica Chiusina, a single-vineyard wine, is entirely aged in barrel and is strengthened by Colorino, a grape which, like Petit Verdot in Bordeaux, adds color and tannins to the blend. Full and deep in tone with blackish highlights, ripe on the nose with berries, vanilla, and cinnamon, very focused in its aromatic impact, it is impressive on the palate.
