A stunning value is the 2005 “G” Dehesa Gago, a 100% Tinta de Toro from one of my favorite Spanish appellations ... Toro. Fresh, lively, blackberry, cherry, smoke, and earth aromas jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-hued, rich, medium-bodied, supple-textured, luscious wine. Fermented in stainless steel, aged in tank, and bottled early to preserve its freshness, it should be consumed over the next 1-3 years.
