Pale ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir Ashley's Vineyard offers alluring rhubarb and raspberry with tones of woodsmoke, dusty earth and bergamot. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle chalkiness to temper the sweet fruits and uplifting freshness on the spicy finish.

Pale ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Ashley's Vineyard opens with notes of granite, pipe tobacco and blueberry with cracked peppercorn, dried leaves, tree bark and bergamot—very savory and earthy but lovely! Light to medium-bodied, it has grainy tannins to support the earthy fruit layers plus juicy acidity and a long, nuanced finish.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Ashley's Vineyard is one of my favorites, wafting from the glass with aromas of wood smoke, earth, berries and aromatic bark. On the palate, it's full-bodied, rich and supple, with a layered mid-palate, fine-grained tannins and a generous but balanced profile. Enjoy it over the next five to six years.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Ashley's Vineyard has pretty violets and red rose notes over a core of cranberries and pomegranate plus touches of bay leaves and mossy bark. The medium-bodied palate delivers a great intensity of red berry and earthy flavors with a pleasant suggestion of chewiness to the texture and long, lively finish.

Fess Parker's 2014 Pinot Noir Ashley’s Vineyard, which is all from the Rancho Las Hermanas Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, is a fruit-forward, charming beauty that has tons of black raspberry, smoked herbs and underbrush notes in its medium-bodied, plump, balanced, yet mouth-filling style. Seeing 20% whole clusters and 18 months in 46% new French oak, it's an outstanding Pinot Noir to drink over the coming 4-5 years.
