The two Gigondas from Montirius were both outstanding. Made from 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre brought up all in tank, the 2005 Gigondas Terre des Aines has outstanding fruit, lots of bouquet garni, earth and meatiness, medium to full-bodied richness and a supple, textured style. It’s ideal for drinking over the coming 3-4 years.
