The 1999 Vina Borsao is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Tempranillo. It possesses spice and pepper, in addition to a robust, medium to full-bodied personality. It exhibits a Cotes du Rhone-like character, but is fruit-driven, with plenty of black cherry and raspberry characteristics. There is surprising density and length for such a reasonably-priced wine. Consume it over the next 1-2 years. Why is it impossible to find California wines of this quality at this price?Importer: Jorge Ordonez, Fine Estates From Spain, Dedham, MA; tel. (781) 461-5767
