The 2013 Meursault Clos de Mazeray was picked on October 4, raised 50% in barrels and 33 hectoliter foudres, undergoes no batonnage or chaptalization. It has a fragrant bouquet with touches of almond and linden that unfurls in the glass, but never becomes powerful. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity. It is not a complex Meursault, but there is a fine seam of minerality and peppery notes emerging toward the finish. Fine.
