The number one wine in the line, at least this time around, is the 2001 Don Luigi, made from a selection of the best Montepulciano grapes, very ripe and plummy with sweet vanilla and mocha notes on the nose, concentrated, plush, and sensual in flavor, deceptively ready but with a richness that suggests that it will still be drinking well in 2015-2016.
A house very well worth getting to know for the professionalism of Alessio Di Majo Norante and the contribution of the near-ubiquitous Riccardo Cotarella, who here struts his stuff in a formerly unknown part of Italy.
