This exotic, super-fragrant, pungently-scented 1990 Brunello di Montalcino comes across as far more opulent and flattering than most wines of the vintage. It is somewhat similar to the extravagantly priced Soldera Case Basse - for one-fourth to one-third the price! This full-bodied, in your face Brunello offers an expansive, round palate, with gobs of super-ripe, jammy fruit (black fruits, roasted herbs, and smoked meats dominate the wine's personality), gorgeous concentration, and an unmistakable personality. I am impressed! This wine can be drunk now as well as over the next 10-15 years.
