The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Manapetra represents a single-vineyard selection of fruit that is deep, dark and opulent. The wine ages in barrique for eight months and is transferred to large oak casks for an additional 30 months. This expression from the beautiful 2010 vintage is tight and generous at the same time, with great intensity that gives it vertical lift and a streamlined mouthfeel that adds length. You get a noticeable taste of the oak, but it's not too heavy. In fact, this wine shows great promise for smooth integration and evolution as it ages.
