The 2010 Assyrtiko is deep and concentrated, having much of the solidity of high end Assyrtiko, but lacking the steel and minerality one sees from Santorini. Conversely, it is not as round and fruity as some of the Assyrtikos one sees off of Santorini. It seems to tread a middle ground. Yet, as it evolved and warmed up, I found myself warming up to it as well. It is nicely balanced and does a lot right with its nice mid-palate concentration and good fruit. Drink now-2014.
