It is hard to find a better Riesling than the 1999 Riesling Polish Hill. It offers up an enticing bouquet of apricots, flint, and citrus. Expressive, almost oily, with an Alsace-like personality, this totally dry, intense, superbly concentrated Riesling has character to burn. As the wine sat in the glass, intriguing sausage-like notes came up, suggestive of a bowl of hearty choucroute garnie. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
