A consistent winner, but still under the radar for most St.-Emilion enthusiasts, this blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon offers up a seductive, soft, round, opulently styled wine with an inky purple color, sweet blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, some licorice and incense. Pure, lush and opulent, the wine can be drunk now or cellared for 10-12 years to wait for additional nuances to emerge. This is a sleeper of the vintage and an outstanding wine.
