The 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Privilege looks to be a knock-out effort and probably the strongest effort from this estate since the 1998. Saturated ruby to the rim with a beautiful nose of ripe strawberry, black cherry, raspberry, cedar and licorice, the wine has a full-bodied, layered, opulent mouthfeel, low acidity, ripe tannin, and superb concentration and length. This wine will drink beautifully young and age nicely for up to 12-15 years.
