The 2012 Castel del Monte Aglianico Bocca di Lupo is a delicious wine as always. The core of the wine rests firmly on a thick foundation of dark fruit and dried cherry. Those primary tones are backed by abundant cinnamon, tobacco and allspice. The oak tones still need time to integrate but having said that, the wine is gorgeous and powerful nonetheless.

An elegant, medium-bodied red, with fine-grained tannins structuring the expressive palate of brambly berry, cherry, star anise, dried thyme and mineral flavors. Long and supple on the fresh finish.
