The brothers Revello are new to me, but I was wowed by their deep, more backward, superbly concentrated Barolo. It is one of the few 1993s that requires 2-3 years of cellaring. The wine boasts a dense garnet/ruby color, a smoky, tar, spice, underbrush, and sour cherry-scented nose, full body, chewy, fleshy, corpulent flavors, considerable extract, and a spicy, tannic finish. It possesses the charm, equilibrium, and harmony characteristic of the 1993 vintage, as well as more muscle. Drink it between 1999-2015.
