The 2012 Barolo is a subdued and rather simple expression that gets to the bare basics of Nebbiolo but does not go much beyond that. The bouquet is evolved (even when tasted upon the wine's release), with dried fruit, leather and tar. The wine lacks the energy and the muscle power for long aging. If you have a bottle, don't wait much longer.

This is harmonious, featuring cherry, licorice, sandalwood and leather aromas and flavors. Offers an inherent sweetness and a fresh feel, with a refined structure and a terrific finish.
