The 1994 Barolo is a medium ruby-colored wine, with the vintage's tell-tale evolved personality. However, it is sexier than many of the 1994s I have tasted, with plenty of smoky, jammy cherry fruit, medium body, a voluptuous texture, and a low acid, lush finish with heady alcohol. It requires near-term consumption.
This small winery in La Morra is owned by two brothers who have approximately 17 acres of vines.
