Possessing the same toasty, chocolate, truffle and licorice-infused bouquet, the 1986 Chateauneuf du Pape (65% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 15% Cinsault and just 5% Syrah, aged all in foudre) is another fully mature, evolved, yet enjoyable, medium-bodied, classy red that's not going to get any better. Yet, it should continue a gradual decline.
