The 2014 Dogliani Papà Celso is a solid wine that has defied the odds of the vintage. This was not an easy growing season, and it was particularly challenging for Dolcetto farmers. But Marziano Abbona has delivered the goods. The wine is plush, rich and super dark. It opens to thick tones of plum, prune and soft blackberry. The finish is round and chewy. Winemaking only sees stainless steel. Some 35,000 bottles were produced.
