Sumptuous, complex, and drinking beautifully at present is the 2001 Embruix, a blend of 50% Grenache, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and tiny quantities of Merlot, Syrah, and Carignan. It displays a deep ruby/purple color along with glorious aromas of smoke, scorched earth, sweet raspberry and black currant fruit, a rich, intense palate, tremendous purity, and silky tannin. It tastes like a Pomerol from Priorat. Enjoy it over the next 10-12 years.
