This wine exhibits a saturated ruby color with purple nuances. Additionally, it is rich, with lots of extract, tannin, and body. The opaque ruby/purple-colored 1996 Barolo Prapo offers a moderately intense nose of scorched earth, dried herbs, and sweet black fruits. It is medium to full-bodied, with an exciting level of fruit extract, superb purity, and a multidimensional, layered personality. This terrific Barolo will require 2-4 years of bottle age.
