This is a fruit bomb. Jumps out of the glass with wild herbs and ripe raspberry flavors; full bodied, with loads of fruit and tannins and a herbal finish that goes on and on. Still needs time to improve. Try after 1998.--The Bordeaux 50. -JS

Cracking up and losing its fruit at an accelerated pace, this medium garnet-colored wine shows notes of mint, tarragon, licorice, and sweet cherries, with rather annoying, damp, mushroomy, earthy characteristics in the background. In the mouth, the wine is disjointed, medium-bodied, and showing some sweet fruit but an increasingly attenuated/desiccated finish. Drink it up. Last tasted, 10/02.
