The 2007 Vacqueyras Garrigues (70% Grenache and 30% Syrah aged in cement tanks) is soft, round, and richly fruity, but neither as complex nor deep as its sibling. Nevertheless, it is a hedonistic example of Vacqueyras to enjoy over the next 3-4 years. Domaine Montirius is another sizeable (80 acres) estate in Vacqueyras that is doing very fine work.
