The ripe and juicy red 2019 Embruix was produced with the grapes from their youngest vines: 29% Garnacha, 28% Cari?ena, 22% Merlot, 14% Syrah and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon this year. It achieved 15.5% alcohol and has less impact from the wood after aging in third- and fourth-use 300-liter oak barrels for 12 to 13 months. 43,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2021.

The youngest vines contribute to the 2017 Embruix, a blend of 27% Garnacha, 26% Merlot, 21% Syrah, 18% Cari?ena and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon that is ripe and juicy but has a lot less oak than in the past. It's still heady and voluptuous at 15.5% alcohol, but it somehow comes through as quite harmonious and balanced. It matured in third and fourth use 300-liter oak barrels for 12 to 14 months. 70,000 bottles produced. It was bottled between April and May 2019.

The 2014 Embruix is a blend of 42% Garnacha, 24% Cari?ena, 22% Merlot and 12% Syrah from their younger vines (20 to 25 years old) from different vineyards. The destemmed grapes fermented in 225- and 500-liter oak barrels and stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts. The élevage was done separately, with the Garnacha in clay amphorae and 1,500-liter foudre and the rest in 225- and 500-liter new barrels. The wine is smoky and ripe, with notes reminiscent of Syrah, and on the palate, the effect of the élevage in oak was a lot more noticeable. It had the ripe, concentrated and generously oaked house style, with a lactic touch. 61,500 bottles along with 1,500 magnums and some larger formats produced. It was bottled in February 2016.

The 2013 Embruix is a multi-grape blend that changes with the vintage and this year was Garnacha (26%), Merlot (24%), Cabernet Sauvignon (17%), Syrah (17%) and Cari?ena (16%) from younger vines (20 to 25 years old). The wines are always ripe, this is 15.5% alcohol and low in acidity (4.9 grams with a pH of 3.6) but generously oaked. Here, the élevage was in new French oak barrels but also in 1,500-liter foudres and amphorae for the Garnacha. This is quite ripe and heady, with black rather than red fruit, somehow perfumed and showing some soil notes, too. The oak shows up in the shape of coffee and dark chocolate notes. There is quite a lot of tannins for an entry-level red, which is powerful and in need of some hearty food. Again, despite the high ripeness of the fruit there is better freshness here than in the 2012. 65,000 bottles and some larger formats were produced.

Also extremely ripe, the 2012 Embruix is a multi-grape blend of Cari?ena (35%), Garnacha (20%), Merlot (20%), Syrah (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). It has liqueur aromas intermixed with something earthy, organic and plus notes of baked apples and stewed prunes. The palate is full-bodied with some warmth, fine tannins and a finish of liqueur and chocolate. Although it does not have the dry texture that some of its siblings reveal, it will also need some time in bottle. 55,000 bottles.
