The 2008 Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata shows the pedigree of this great site in its depth, richness and striking overall balance. Sweet rose petals, raspberries, hard candy and spices are woven together in a fabric of notable class. The Rocche is virtually seamless, but the brightness of the vintage comes through on the lively finish. Floral notes wrap around the palate in stunning style as the fruit shows a last burst of Pinot-like sweetness. This is a fabulous effort from the Revello brothers. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2028.
