The Speri 2018 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso (made with organic fruit) opens to a powerful set of aromas with dried blackberry, tarry smoke and a hint of roasted chestnut. The aromas linger long on the senses, imparting lots of dark and savory characteristics that give this wine the brawn and muscle to pair with barbecued or smoked meat flavors. The wine's thick textural support is followed by some tannic tightness. Speri uses Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and some other indigenous grapes in its Ripasso.

This bright red is floral and high-toned on the nose, with lots of herb and spice on the palate accenting flavors of wild cherry and Mandarin orange peel.
