Easy-drinking and fresh, the 2016 Valpolicella Superiore shows a naked and pure quality of fruit with cherry, cassis and dried blueberry. It is hard to make out the identities of any one particular grape because we are talking about a blend of 50% Corvina, 35% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella and 5% Barbera. However, this bright ensemble of flavors hits the palate in an informal and food-friendly manner. Some 100,000 bottles were made.
