The color is a saturated ruby/purple. The nose offers up copious quantities of cassis, kirsch, new saddle leather, Asian spices, and earth. Rich and full-bodied, with a creamy texture, low acidity, and a luscious, massive finish for the vintage, this is a superb example from a light year. It should drink well for 10-15 years.
