The 2004 Chianti Classico offers plenty of perfumed, vibrant fruit on a medium-bodied frame with notable length and fine tannins in a richer, fuller style than the leaner 2005. It shows terrific purity as well as nuance in its expression of Sangiovese from the southern part of the Chianti Classico appellation and is a great choice for drinking over the next four to five years. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2012.
