I really enjoyed San Giusto a Rentennano's 2013 Chianti Classico. It shows the best side of the vintage and the estate vineyards. This is a tonic and shapely Sangiovese that is teeming with energy and vibrant cherry fruit. Bright aromas of blackberry, wild berry, cola and spice lift from the glass. The wine shows an almost crunchy texture in the mouth, thanks to its natural freshness and the integrated nature of the tannins.

Shows depth to the cherry, raspberry and spice flavors, all backed by a vibrant structure. Balanced and approachable now, but the firm finish suggests short-term aging. Drink now through 2020.
