The Cuvee Etienne Gonnet is a selection of the best wines and is partially aged in small casks. It is a larger-scaled, more tannic, impressively-endowed Chateauneuf du Pape that sells at a remarkably fair price considering its high quality level. The 1993 reveals the essence of cherries in its nose, as well as scents of overripe fruit intertwined with cedar, smoke, pepper, and herbs. Highly-extracted, supple, and full-bodied, this lush, mouthfilling Chateauneuf du Pape should be drunk over the next decade.
