The 2008 Aglianico del Vulture Teodosio (from the estate’s younger vines) emerges from the glass with juicy dark cherries, licorice, tobacco, incense and smoke. Some rough elements remain in the flavors and structure, but this is a good introduction to Aglianico del Vulture. The 2008 Teodosio is bold, wild and beautiful. Even better, it is a terrific value. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2016.
