The Meursault Perrieres has wonderful stone, mineral, and white flower aromatics as well as a broad-shouldered and superbly delineated character. Loads of concentrated liquid minerals, gravel, and traces of honeysuckle can be found in its highly-focused, refined, and racy medium-to-full body. It will require at least 5 years of cellaring and should hold its peak until 2010.
All of Drouhin's whites, with the sole exception of the Montrachet, were bottled between early September and the end of October, 1997.
