The Meursault Perrieres, harvested at 13.6% natural alcohol, has rich aromas of minerals and grilled oak. This thick, broad, medium-to-full-bodied wine is crammed with crisp pears, stones, and gravel. Were it not for a slightly warm and alcoholic aspect to its character (a common trait of '97s), it would have merited additional praise. Drink it before 2004.
