More classic in style than the Le Pas de l’Aigle cuvee, with lots of garrigue, tapenade and meaty red and black fruits, the 2007 Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane has a killer palate, with full-bodied richness, tons of fruit and ripe, sweet yet present tannin. It's a shockingly good Gigondas that's drinking fabulously today yet will keep for another 5-7 years, if not longer.
