Darker in color than the Romane Machotte, the 2013 Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane comes from higher elevation parcels and is a blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and 15% Syrah. It exhibits plenty of chocolate-laced dark fruits, earth and hints of minerality in its medium-bodied, rich, yet soft and sexy style. It will shine on release and evolve nicely through 2023.
