The 2015 Aglianico del Vulture opens to a dark and impenetrable appearance. There is overripe fruit here and maybe a very distant touch of volatile acidity. You also taste ripe fruit, mocha and dark espresso bean. The finish is a bit gritty and rough. Bottle production is large with 100,000 units produced.
