The 2001 Barolo Giachini is round, sweet and polished. This isn’t the most complex Barolo at Revello but the suave tannins and sexy personality makes it a great choice for drinking over the next few years. Bright, floral notes ring out on the impeccable finish. Some very slight elements of fragility lead me to believe the readers shouldn’t wait too long here. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.
