The Clos Vougeot is superb and has been a consistent winner for Jadot throughout the eighties. The 1988 is intense, with a big, forceful, dramatic bouquet of red fruits and spicy oak, explosive richness on the palate, medium to full body, and a silky, luscious finish. Its precociousness suggests it should drink extremely well early on, and I would opt for consuming it over the next 7-8 years.
