La Bouissiere is one of this appellation’s up and coming estates, and I have been very pleased with the evolution of one of their first top vintages, 1998. They did not present their 2005s for tasting, but the sexy, open-knit 2004 Gigondas exhibits attractive levels of sweet cherry and blacker fruits, earth, and spice. Supple-textured and easy to drink, it should be consumed over the next 5-7 years.
