The 2007 Rosso di Montalcino bursts from the glass with masses of dark red fruit. This soft-textured, expansive Rosso is simply irresistible for its harmonious and totally engaging personality. Year in year out, this is one of my favorite Rossos, as it is again in 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012. La Poderina’s wines rarely fail to put a smile on my face. These aren’t the most profound, or complex wines in Montalcino, but they always possess a level of balance and sheer harmony that is truly exceptional.
