The 1990 Chianti Classico Riserva exhibits an impressively saturated dark ruby/garnet color, and a spicy nose of ripe black-cherries, earth, smoke, and roasted nuts. Very concentrated, medium to full-bodied, with some moderate tannin still to be shed, this admirably-endowed, rich, black-cherry-flavored wine can be drunk now, but it promises to be even better in 2-3 years; it will last for 10-12 years. This outstanding Tuscan producer has been exceptionally consistent over the last decade, so it is not surprising that the 1990s performed brilliantly.Importer: Vias Imports, New York, NY; Tel.
