The 1994 Chianti Classico Riserva exhibits copious quantities of lead pencil, tar, sweet, saddle leather, spicy, berry fruit in its medium-bodied format. It displays a healthy dark plum/garnet color, and is expansive on the palate, with light tannin in the moderately long finish. Drink this excellent 1994 over the next 3-4 years.This has always been one of my favorite Tuscan producers. I began purchasing their wines in 1983, and have continued to latch on to a few bottles from the better years.
