The 1995 Chianti Classico is a dusty, leathery, berry-scented and flavored wine with good body, a lusty, alcoholic punch, a supple texture, and admirable spice and fruit. It is one of the more earthy, spicy wines I have tasted from the 1995 vintage. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. This has always been one of my favorite Tuscan producers. I began purchasing their wines in 1983, and have continued to latch on to a few bottles from the better years. Sadly, as with many of the finest wines, prices have gone up significantly.
