The estate’s 2007 Chianti Classico Riserva kicks things up a notch or two. Dark fruit, tar and licorice power through to the vibrant, polished finish. There is wonderful depth to the fruit, which literally shimmers across the palate with superb detail and clarity. Floral notes add an element of freshness. The Riserva is 95% Sangioveto and 5% Canaiolo. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2019.
