Last Tasted 3/92This wine revealed surprisingly deep color, with only a trace of amber at the edge. At first the bouquet was subdued, but with airing it revealed intriguing aromas of roasted coffee, menthol, and sweet fruit. In the mouth, the wine exhibited plenty of glycerin and alcohol, as well as copious quantities of rich fruit and a sweet, long finish. Close to being outstanding, the 1960 is fully mature and should be consumed over the next 6-7 years.
