A politically correct, safely made Cabernet Sauvignon with enough spice, fruit, body, acidity, and alcohol, but little in the way of thrills or excitement. The 1985 is typical of the recent B.V. Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons. It remains youthful and will unquestionably keep for another 10-15 years, but I wonder whether anything more will emerge from this highly-structured, sculptured Cabernet?
