The other wines in BV’s portfolio were devoid of texture, revealed muted aromatics, and were average to slightly above average quality. The deep ruby/purple-colored 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve reveals tight aromas, medium body, and notions of high quality oak intermixed with mineral, black currant, and earth-like characteristics. Although elegant, it lacks the depth expected from such a great name. It is best drunk over the next 7-10 years.Tel. (707) 967-5200; Fax (707) 967-9149
